The location for these paintings is the Baiter/Whitecliff area of Poole, looking towards Sandbanks. All views are taken at dawn at different times of the year.
This accounts for differing degrees of clarity of image, varying suggestions of distance, and the colour harmonies particular to each painting. These paintings were made in the studio from drawings and photographs made on the spot from September 2001 to May 2002.
All paintings in this series are 100cm x 80cm and are acrylic on canvas.
